LedgerWise ("we", "us", or "our") is a business record-keeping application that helps small businesses in Pakistan track income, expenses, and generate financial reports. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By creating an account or using LedgerWise, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Information you provide

• Account information — your name, email address, and password (stored securely as a hash) used to create and access your account.
• Business profile — business name, owner name, business category, and contact phone number you enter during onboarding.
• Transaction data — the income and expense entries, categories, amounts, dates, and notes you record within the app.
• Payment information — when you subscribe, we collect payment proof (such as a transaction screenshot) and your selected plan. We do not store full card or banking credentials.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data — device type, browser, and basic interaction logs that help us improve the Service and detect abuse.
• Authentication data — when you sign in with Google, we receive the name and email address associated with your Google account, as authorized by you.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service and its features.
• Authenticate your identity and secure your account.
• Generate financial reports and summaries from the data you enter.
• Process subscription payments and manage your plan and trial.
• Communicate with you about your account, support requests, and important updates.
• Monitor for fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service.
• Comply with applicable legal obligations.

We process your personal data based on: (a) your consent when you sign in with Google or otherwise provide information; (b) the performance of our contract with you to deliver the Service; and (c) our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, preventing fraud, and complying with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

• Service providers — trusted third parties that host our infrastructure, provide authentication, and support the Service (such as our database and hosting providers), under written agreements that protect your data.

Your password is never stored in plain text. We recommend using a strong, unique password and enabling any available account-security features.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will remove or anonymize your personal information and transaction data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Request deletion of your data and account.
• Export a copy of your data.
• Withdraw consent to processing based on consent.

LedgerWise is intended for businesses and is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services (such as Google Sign-In). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
